2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited Long-Term Test Update No. 7

Road Trip!

Another fortnight past and our long-term Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited has added 263 miles to the odometer, giving it a total of 3,105 which means it now qualifies for its first trip to the dealer for a warranty-prescribed checkup.

But getting to this point, our staff favorite went on another road trip - and when I speak of favorites I wasnt intentionally referring to Alexandra Straub, who took it to one of those beautiful Pacific Northwest islands, but the Endeavor, although both seem fitting. Alexandra is also a favorite with the auto executives she regularly charms information out of, which again makes her a favorite around here - such a valuable asset.

Anyway, the Endeavor still performs flawlessly, so any concerns that I might have previously had about Mitsubishi reliability have been effectively

thwarted by this superb crossover. And now, on with the log entries:

so cool and drives so nicely!" I suppose she would know a thing or two about its competition having driven everything under the sun, so her compliments are particularly noteworthy. Now, on to the log book entries... 2,881 miles

Jennifer: The only problem with having such a large cargo area is all that stuff that collects there. Its like, hmmm... I dont know what to do with this box of clothes for charity... yeah, lets put it in the back of the Endeavor. So now, there are three boxes and a bag for charity, three filled

with clothes and one crammed with toys, plus my daughters bike, a pair of hiking boots, some bags of things bought at Walmart still sitting in the Endeavor days after going to the store, which were obviously so important that we had to have them, and other knick-knacks piling up all over the place. At least the rear seats are fairly clean, probably because Trevor just chucks anything from there into the back. I love his cleaning methods... very efficient.

garbage disposal in back to chuck things into - har, har to Jenn on that one. Well, AT LEAST I CLEAN IT OUT!!! Oh, I feel a domestic dispute brewing. Id better leave this one alone for awhile.

Trevor: OK Mitsubishi, this long-term tester is really paying off for you. I turned the corner in my neighborhood and what was staring at me, my neighbor driving past in the exact same Endeavor as mine. Same color, same Limited trim level, same everything except his had a cooler looking aftermarket roof rack than the stock unit, with one of those handy locking external boxes fixed to the top.

Actually, Ive seen a lot more Endeavors on the road in recent months, but previously none with the Mineral Beige Pearl and "glossy taupe" leather interior, as Jennifer called it when we first picked the Endeavor up. Oh well, so much for being original anymore.
