Ford fans rejoice, finally you have a truck to run amok around the same playground as Dodges omnipotent Ram SRT-10. Admittedly, fast-truck fans should be a bit upset at Ford, especially after creating the Lightning Concept, building all sorts of hype around it, and then killing it (alongside the Sport Trac Adrenaline and the rest of the SVT performance program).
Okay, so the truck in question here, the Roush 500 RC F-150 may not completely measure up to the SRT-10s Viper-transplant

Many who might otherwise be shopping for a compact runabout or simple everyday work truck will probably care less about tire smokin super trucks, but anyone who needs to haul trailers, payloads or simply wants to haul @$$ will be happy to hear that Roushs 500RC F-150 can now be had straight out of Ford dealerships without worrying about parts missing

Roushs expert craftsmanship, honed in NASCARs Craftsman Truck Series (match that, buddy!) has gone into producing a jack-of-all-trucks that splits the difference between Sunday-only racer and everyday mule with power to spare and only a few glam touches, like the air scoop on the hood and the stripe kit that mimics the Shelby Cobra Mustang.
As for particulars, Roush starts with a stock F-150 running a 5.4L Triton V8 with the three-valve-per-cylinder head that is good for a workman-like 300 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque, as the base package, and then

Being professionals, Roush doesnt just bolt on the supercharger and send it off to roam, but rather adds their own intake manifolds, intercooler, heavy-duty radiator, air induction system and then recalibrates the electronics to achieve the peak power mentioned above, which, in case you missed it, is 445 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. Unfortunately, its going to be an automatic-only. Sorry guys.
Finishing touches include a dual rear exit high-performance exhaust system, 20-inch chrome wheels with performance tires and a billet aluminum grille, as well as the sticker kit so that no one will mistake your 500RC F-150 for a contractors special.
